Over the past year or so, I’ve researched and written a book analyzing and contrasting liberal and dominionist ideologies in U.S. history. My credentials include graduate degrees in History and Ethics. Given the frightening rise of hate politics, I wanted to disseminate these ideas as a free source without regard to copyright. I created my own blog to do this, but thought that my ideas might be welcome here. After reading the community guidelines, I shared about 18 posts of my work under the username of cncreitz. I’ve never been part of a blog community and did not realize that this was a breach of blog etiquette. As soon as I realized my mistake, I wrote an apology. One of my posts about environmentalism was entitled “Honor, don’t r*pe Thy Mother, Earth” and it disappeared when I published it. Thinking this was a system error not an intentional block, I tried several times more. These actions have gotten me permanently banned under my original user name.
While my posts were active, one or two comments reflected a serious review of my work, and I thank them. The remaining comments focused on my breach of an unpublished, as far as I know, rule of minimal posting and I have never personally encountered the level of mean spiritedness outside of middle school cliques. Yes, a few made me cry.
My work is original, and was slammed as plagiarism and spam.
My posts are well-written, and only a few people noticed.
I’m done with Daily Kos, and hope that I stop receiving emails asking for donations.
Happy Easter, and new spring.
